Chrondrift is steadiness with your hands on the wheel. Leave the beat alone for a few seconds and it starts to slide, and every second you let the pull build, the harder it fights to come back. You're the one keeping it honest. Staying in time here is anything but passive. It's a stream of tiny fixes.

What Chrondrift trains
Chrondrift trains active tempo control. A live metronome wanders faster and slower on its own, and your job is to catch each drift and nudge it back into the target zone: a closed loop of hearing an error and correcting it in real time. Where most games test perception, Chrondrift tests the harder combination of perceiving and acting, exactly what a performer does to hold a groove.
How to play
Listen to the drifting pulse and use the up (▲) and down (▼) controls to hold it in the zone. There are three rounds, and each runs a little faster than the last, so control gets harder as you go. Watch which way the pulse is sliding and push the opposite way before it leaves the zone. Sound on lets you hear the drift; the on-screen indicator shows how far you are from centre. Keyboard users can hold the arrow keys to correct.
How scoring works
Your result reflects time spent inside the target zone across the three rounds, a measure of how well you kept the wandering tempo centred. The game checks the marker's position roughly sixty times a second, and every frame it sits inside the narrow band counts toward your Lock-score while every frame outside it does not. The final number is that in-band fraction turned into a percentage, so a reading of 80 means the tempo stayed centred for four of every five moments you were playing.

Common mistakes
Big, late corrections are the classic error: by the time the drift is obvious, your fix overshoots. Nudge early and small. Chasing every tiny wobble is the opposite trap, adding your own instability on top of the drift. And fighting the fast round with the same effort as the slow one leads to bouncing, so ease your inputs as the tempo climbs.
Practice progression
Chrondrift is a "perception-action loop" workout. Browser and device timing, plus input latency, are not laboratory-grade, so results from different devices are not strictly comparable, and one session does not fix your "true" ability. The score reflects real-time tempo control specifically.
